Star Wars: In a Galaxy Not So Far Away…
With the release of ‘The Force Awakens’ in 2015, the buzz really hasn’t stopped, and the powers behind the franchise have certainly taken notice. In fact, that the entire Star Wars universe is continuing to grow into side stories with new characters, new plots, and much more.
The next in line to receive the glory of the force? Rogue One, releasing in theaters on December 16th. This story takes a step back in time, introducing new characters who plan on taking down the Death Star from the original films. The movie is already receiving a ton of hype from fans, with the second trailer alone grabbing a view count of almost 17 million on YouTube, since its release in October.
With the holiday season success Rogue One will undoubtedly see, the minds behind the force aren’t slowing down. 2018 is set to bring about a movie depicting the life of a young Han Solo, and it’s already getting a lot of buzz, thanks to big names like Emilia Clarke, Zoe Kravitz, and Donald Glover. This film is set to give all fans the answer to the age old question: How did Han Solo acquire the Millennium Falcon in the first place? With the success of prequel-like stories, the origin tale of one of the franchise’s most beloved characters is bound to be yet another hit.
Finally, it was announced earlier this year that Star Wars: Episode VIII is now in production, and is due out in 2020. This is the next official film in the saga, and will tell us what Luke Skywalker has been up to, and answer more questioned plot points and story lines.
